The hypertrophic masseter muscle is often associated with a range of conditions, including bruxism, TMJ/TMD, and a widened lower jaw, which can lead to cosmetic concerns for patients. In recent years, Botox injections have emerged as a safe and effective non-surgical alternative to surgical resection for treating masseter hypertrophy.

In this course, we will provide a comprehensive overview of the therapeutic applications of Botox in masseter muscle injections, including its mechanism of action and potential adverse effects. We will also provide hands-on training in the administration of Botox/Azzalure/Dysport injections, including injection techniques, dosage, and potential complications.

Our course is designed for healthcare professionals who practice botulinum toxin treatments and wish to deepen their expertise in this specialised area. By the end of the programme, you will have the knowledge and clinical skill set required to safely and effectively perform botulinum toxin injections to the masseter muscle for jaw slimming, bruxism, and TMJ/TMD management.
